As part of line-up of activities for this year’s Offshore Technogy Conference (OTC) holding in Houston, Texas, from May 2-5 2022, the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) will be hosting an African Collaboration Session to promote regional business integration of the oil and gas industry.Themed ‘AfCFTA: Cross-Border Service Integration As Enabler of Project Delivery in the African Oil and Gas Industry’, PETAN, which has been leading the Nigerian delegation to the event has confirmed speakers from other African countries who will be discussing the topic at the event.They include the Secretary-General of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO); Dr. Umar Farouk Ibrahim, who is expected to give the keynote address; the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Simbi Wabote, who will be making a special presentation at the session; President of the Angola Oil and Gas Service Companies Association (AECIPA), Engr. Braulio de Brito, who will be moderating the session, Chairman/Founder, Association of Tanzania Oil and Gas Service Providers (ATOGS), Honorable Abdulsamad Abdulrahim; President of the Mozambique Chamber of Local Content, Mr. Elthon Chemane; Manager, African Partner Pool (APP), Invest In Africa, Senegal, Mr. Ibrahima Talla and PETAN Vice-Chairman and CEO, Radial Circle Group, Mr. Ranti Omole amongst others.The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources.The African Collaboration Session, aimed at offering tangible cross-border business solutions across the supply chain of the oil and gas industry, is scheduled to hold on Day Three of the event.
