Enjoy PETAN’s impactful sign-off at the recently concluded N.I.P.S by its former Chairman, Mr. Emeka Ene’s presentation on the Global Implications of Gas Revolution with special focus on the key considerations for technology selection and economic viability in the Gas-to-power Initiative.

Images from PETAN’s brilliant Emeka Ene’s presentation at the just concluded first Gas Panel Session on the final day of N.I.P.S 2021 in Abuja. The former PETAN Chairman made a comparative analysis of power generation between Nigeria and India to show how its imperative to focus on strategies that work for us in our gas industrialisation drive. He outlined the Three-S Strategy of identifying what works for us to include Sustainability, Security of Supply and Soci-economic Impact. On sustainability, he said that in off-grid supply, small power doing some great things beats big power doing not so great things. On security of supply, he encouraged the development of regional hubs of cluster producers that power industrial hubs to complement major supply. On Socio-economic impact, he noted that even as an environmentally-friendly resource, unavailability of gas cannot encourage grassroots industrialisation and improve quality of life.

It’s been an incredible journey. Welcome to the final day of the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit #NIPS2021 at the International Conferenec Centre (ICC), Abuja!
